How it works:
A specially designed, patented tine system destroys weeds between rows and between plants.
Precise adjustment allows for circular working area from about 6-inches up to 13-inches which allows for weed destruction extremely close to the plant.
Weeds between rows are loosened and the soil is ridged towards the crop. This ridging covers weeds between plants with soil, smothering them without damaging the plants.
In addition to killing weeds, soil-ridging can aid crops in fields where sustained winds are known to damage plants (esp. broccoli and cabbage). In these situations, it's advantageous to move soil to the base of the plants. WeedFix's rotating tines can be adjusted to throw the desired amount of soil towards plants to minimize damage due to wind-whip.
During the soil-ridging process plants are protected by adjustable foliage protection plates.
Depth adjustment wheels allow precise adjustment of the working depth
